E2B KIDS AN ONLINE COURSE DESIGNED FOR STUDENTS AGED 8 TO 16 WITH VISUAL DISABILITIES
All projects are topic-based to enhance the student’s previous knowledge of English. Lessons are produced in word.doc which can be used with speech synthesis or printed in braille. Links to the Zoom platform and mp3 audio material for the lessons will be provided to accompany the files. The material will be given to students before the lesson, allowing the student and the family the necessary time to prepare in order to create a pleasant atmosphere during the online lesson.
The E2B KIDS courses of 10 hours at one hour per week are divided into levels:
A1-A2 – Basic
Vocabulary courses, spelling, simple grammatical forms, songs, description activities, production of tactile projects.
The course lasts 10 hours and is called HOUSE AND GARDEN PROJECT
Lesson activities
- English alphabet. Songs, spelling activities.
- In the kitchen.1 Objects in the kitchen vocabulary, spelling activities and verbs. describing
- In the kitchen.2 Fruits and vegetables. adjectives. Vocabulary activities. Description of the real fruit.
- In the kitchen.3 Tactile activity: fresh fruit sticks. Quiz: vocabulary learned and description. I like….
- In the house.1 Parts of the house vocabulary. Is there a, are there, is there a? question answer
- In the house.2 Living room, Bedroom. Vocabulary of household objects. podcast: sounds inside the house.
- In the house.3 Descriptive activities: Adjectives and verbs. Role play: what do you want in your dream house?
- In the garden.1 vocabulary objects and nature. Descriptive activities. podcast: sounds in outdoor environments.
- In the garden.2 animals in the garden or in the park. Vocabulary, listening activities and description.
- In the garden.3. Tactile activity: flying butterfly. Descriptive activity: creating texts using all the vocabulary of the course.
A2-B1 Intermediate
Courses are created integrating some elements of the project above, but using more complex vocabulary, functions and grammatical forms.
The lessons of the intermediate groups focus more on helping students discover their creative side, consolidating and strengthening the skills they already have through activities that are often not provided in school.
B1-B2 Advanced
The course lasts 10 hours: BOOKS PROJECT
The course uses a book, telling a story. The book is used as a starting point to explore the surrounding world with both auditory and tactile stimuli. The vocabulary, functions and grammatical forms are more complex than the basic course and participants are encouraged to experiment in producing their own story and develop their own story telling skills on different topics covered during the course.
The course is an opportunity to improve all four skills; reading, speaking, listening and even writing. Using an audiobook together with videos and mp3 content, the books come to life in the form of discussion, drama, song.
We have seen that during the learning process both with a basic or more advanced level of English the children have found their voice and actively participate in the course which has been created as an interactive experience and not lessons to be followed as passive listening.

The courses will be offered in different time slots Monday to Friday, in agreement with the partecipants.
